Participating in the program has meant connecting with other educational leaders from diverse school backgrounds. Collaborating with them, I have been able to see that while we have diverse needs for our populations, we are all encountering the same difficulties in education shifts on the island, and the impact that has upon our teachers and, subsequently, our students is similar.

My participation in the program has changed the way I think about my current practices as a school leader and how they impact the students of Puerto Rico. With my participation, I have been able to appreciate how by training myself on new educational alternatives that have been effective in other academic settings, I have been able to significantly impact the students. This is evidenced through the implementation of the project-based learning, on the rounds of observations, and the positive response of the students.
